Happy Memorial Day

Just a quick update to say... Yay! School is out for the summer! I survived!

Also, I wanted to wish everyone a happy Memorial day. Hopefully the BBQing is good and the weather is not as hot as here. Ugh.

The real reason for this update is to point out the plethora of new photos that are up:

Now don't be shy about putting up anything remotely newsworthy on the front page here. I don't want to be the only one doing the writing ;)

Happy 5 de Mayo

It has been a while since the last update so I figured that I would fill the void. Last week was 5 de Mayo and the latino business student association put on a little fiesta at the building. They had a mariachi band, taquitos, and chips & salsa. Very cool. I always love some live mariachi music and mexican food!

I put up two new galleries of Alia pictures taken during April. You can get to them here and here (or through the gallery link on the right!)

Mike also posted some pictures from their travels to Disneyworld and other fun places. Just wanted to make sure everyone saw those :)

Well, time is flying here in Tucson. Little Alia is growing up too quickly. Her eyes are starting to change color. I was just starting to think they might stay blue... it looks like they are heading toward some sort of hazel, so she can be twinners with Mom and all the Bacons.

She also loves to sit in her swing (both indoors and out). I will put her in it outside and grab my golf club for some practice swinging in the backyard. I don't know what it is but Alia just giggles every time I swing the club. I knew my swing was funny looking but I didn't think it was that bad!

Alia loves to go swimming and play in the sprinkler. That's a good thing considering we have already hit 100 degrees. Fortunately for us, it will dip down to a cool 90 during next week ;) Still amazes me how last night I went to bed at 11pm and it was still 85 degrees outside. Time to move back to Seattle.

Oh, one more thing I wanted to add. Be sure to check out the 'slideshow' link when you are in the photo gallery. It will automatically go through the pictures so you don't have to click around! Very cool. You can even set how long you want it to pause in between pictures. Check it out.
