Duct tape, anyone?

It has been a while but we are back with some more pictures. I was too lazy to upload the pictures manually while I was waiting for the new version of iphoto2gallery. Sad but true.

Anyway, you can see the new pictures here.

Alia is now the master of taking off all her clothes during her naps and at night. After washing everything in her crib for the 100th time, Julie decided it was time to employ duct tape to prevent the diaper from coming off.

The first night, we made the mistake of only wrapping the tape around the front and partially onto the back of the diaper. Well, that night, after she stopped jabbering, we went in to investigate. The pajamas were all the way off and the diaper was partially removed as well. She had somehow reached around to the back of the diaper and pulled the tape clean off. We were able to put a new diaper on and wrap tape ALL the way around her.

So far so good, no more missing diapers or wet cribs. I still laugh when we pull out the tape to get her ready for bed. We'll have to get a picture of that sometime.

Tucson Helquist Photo Shoot

Just wanted to let everyone know that there are some new pictures up in our gallery.

http://www.helquist.com/gallery/Jan2005

Alia was due for her two year pictures and Ashlyn her three month pictures. For the first time, Alia cooperated (well, for most of the time). She still rebelled when we tried to have her hold Ashlyn. For some reason, she's not too keen on little sister sitting in her lap for pictures!

In other exciting news, it is now time to start duct taping Alia's pajamas on at night. Sunday morning I went in to get Alia up and found her stark naked in her crib. She was just lying there as if nothing were wrong. Unfortunately, things WERE wrong! Hooray for waterproof crib pads. I'm now wondering if she spent the night al fresco or if it was just entertainment before Dad got her out of bed.
