I am a little delinquent in getting the news posted up here. It's probably not so much news now as borderline history. Better late than never?
First off, going chronologically (of course), the Florida Helquists (soon to be California Helquists) made the important trip to el doctor to find out the gender. I was dead wrong as they are expecting a boy. The Thomas family really had that one pegged. Everything looked fine and the due date is still end-o-Augustish. Now it is time to concentrate on the boy names. I'm still open to negotiating for rights to Magnus.
Second, Jay received the all important letter from SLC. Something must have misfired in Salt Lake as Jay IS NOT going to Brazil (maybe there is another Jay Helquist that got called to Brazil?). As it turns out, Uncle Boyd and Randy Clark tied for closest in our guessing game as Jay is on his way to the thriving metropolis of Spokane, WA. Very exciting news... especially if there is even a remote chance of meeting one of the Stocktons!
As for us, life goes on in Tucson. One month until the end of the crazy semester. Alia is now sleeping in her "big bed" and loves it. Ashlyn is six months old and growing like crazy. Julie is putting the finishing touches on her re-done shower. The latest pictures from our travels to Seattle and Easter can be found here.
Mom was also kind enough to send some pictures from Hallie's blessing, Grandma's funeral, Dad, Nan, and Jake's trip to Zion, and Easter. I just lumped all of them into one album under the "Family Photos" section. You can get there from here.
We hope that all is well with everyone and that Chuck makes it out of St Paul without any parasites coming along for the ride!
