Just posted a few quick pictures of Alia's first time out trick-or-treating. She really wasn't sure what was going on but she did quite enjoy getting candy (even though she doesn't really eat it... it is more just entertainment to play with) and playing with a glo stick.

So the past couple of days I have been trying to get version 2.0 of the photo gallery working well on our site. The long and the short of it is that it didn't. I put us back at 1.5.1 and I think things are working smoothly. If you notice any problems let me know.
Also, we were running out of space so we decided it was time to prune the photo albums. All albums that were earlier than 2005 are now offline. I made a copy of the entire photo gallery (before the pruning) so if you would like a copy of that let me know.
I think that is all for now... time for bed!
Today was Ashlyn's first birthday. Alia was so excited for her. Well, I think she was just excited to open her presents and play with the cake. Alia decided that it was more fun to play with the cake than eat it. Go figure. Meanwhile, Ashlyn polished up her piece in style.
I added some additional pictures from today's festivities at the same location as last time. I also included a scan of Ashlyn's official one year picture.
Ashlyn is now starting to walk all over the place. She will go 10-15 feet at a time before deciding it is much easier (and faster) to drop and crawl. She still thinks it is the greatest thing ever to be on her feet.
Alia has figured out that she has a last name, too. It is quite funny to hear her say, "my name is Alia Helquist". I am trying like crazy to get it captured on video because it is so funny but it is proving to be quite difficult.
We just put up a few new pictures showcasing some of the highlights of activities around here. I'm just waiting for the temperature to get below 95. How long until Halloween?!?
In other exciting news, the official potty training is under way. With much bribery, Alia has used the facilities quite a few times over the last couple of days. Now if only she would feel a sense of urgency and self-motivation to get to the bathroom. Not that it isn't fun to sit on the tub for an hour reading books with her a couple times a day :)
