Hi family!
Here are some of our pictures from our trip to Europe with Eric's business group. It was so fun to visit, but it's sure great to be back with Hallie and have our family together again! We have some more pictures to put up, but they still need to be retrieved from a friend's computer.
We hope everyone is doing well!
Love, the Heatons
Hi everybody!
Just a quick update with a few new pictures. Yesterday afternoon, we had some serious weather blow through our neighborhood. Unfortunately, I was at school and missed all the action. However, Julie was able to document some of the events.
As the story goes, the hail storm covered the whole lawn so that it looked like it had snowed. The winds were crazy and uprooted a tree around the corner. Julie's once pretty backyard now looks like it went through a tornado. There are rose petals and mesquite tree needles all over the place. The poor roses and lillies look like someone took a weed eater to them. I guess the cleanup starts soon!
It was very interesting to go with Alia as she rode her bike around the block. I gained a little more appreciation for what a hurricane cleanup must be like (to a very, very minor extent!). Rocks and debris all over the road and all over everyone's yard. We got off lucky as the hail storm demolished a lot of people's screens on their windows and even took off paint on the house. Ouchies.
You can see some of the pictures here.
In other exciting news, we had Ashlyn in to have her hearing checked out today. The pediatrician was worried that she is now 20 months and still doesn't talk. We are happy to report that she hears fine and just feels like yelling is a much better way to communicate. Sometimes I agree and return the favor in kind :)
