Happy Tucson Halloween

Hey everyone. The dust has settled and the kids are finally sleeping so I thought I would share some more photos. Included in this set of pictures are photos of our trip to the pumpkin patch, halloween costumes, and Ashlyn not cooperating during her 2 her old photo shoot.

The good part of having young children is that 30 minutes of trick-or-treating is more than enough!

Ashlyn's Birthday

Hi family,

I have put up some pictures from the last couple of months. I decided to keep things organized so there are two albums:

Ashlyn is now officially a two-year old and following along with all the things 2-years olds are supposed to do. She loves to summit the toilet then cross over to the bathroom counter for full investigation of everything within reach. Most things have now been relocated into the cabinets where new (Ashlyn proof) child locks are in place.

She still only says a few words that are actually understandable. One of those words happens to be "poop". I was busy cleaning the cat box the other day, which is behind a child gate. I could hear rustling on the other side of the gate and soon saw just the top of Ashlyn's head poking over the gate. She saw what I was up against and immediately said "poop".

Fortunately, not all of her vocabulary is strictly associated with potties. Her new favorite shows are Curious George and Winnie the Pooh. She asks for "monkey george" and "pooh" all the time, while pointing vigorously at the television. Last night as I was tucking her in, I asked her to give me five. She did that and I turned to walk out of the room. I took two steps and heard her say "bump". I looked back to see her sitting in her crib with her fist extended toward me, ready for a fist bump. Too funny. After doing the mandatory bump, she immediately said "bye" and waved. I then knew that the required nighttime process was complete and I was free to go.

Alia is counting down the days to her 4th birthday. Some days it upsets her that she has to wait for Julie's birthday then hers. The other day, we asked her what she wanted for her birthday. She normally says that she wants a dog but this time was different. She said she wanted a mommy kitty for her baby kitty stuffed animal. Mommy kitty, for those of you that don't know, got lost somewhere on our trip to Utah a year and a half ago. Julie and I were both amazed that she would remember mommy kitty and that it would be fresh on her mind. Time to hit google to try and find a suitable replacement.

Hope all is well with everyone... and that Halloween pictures will be coming shortly from everyone!
